Special Features
This Pacific coast Hill Hiker® installation was extremely challenging due to the rugged terrain and little or no access to the job-site. The local contractor had his crew hand chisel a pathway down the side of the mountain in order to work with the local environmental and shoreline conservation authorities. The elevator support structure consists of 12 inch in diameter caissons imbedded into the granite with stainless steel threaded rod for anchoring points. The entire elevator was manufactured in a high grade 304 Stainless Steel material including all hardware. The lift was powder coated with a marine grade finish for extra durability in the extreme salt water conditions.
